Board Games I’m Playing
I like stuff that’s about how people think (e.g., Dixit, Mysterium, Wavelength, etc.), fun party games with friends (e.g., Monikers, Spyfall, etc.), or story-driven games (e.g., various Legacy games).

Mysterium
Really fun: a cross between Dixit and Clue. Can’t wait to play this when we can do in-person dinner/game nights again!
4.5/5 (only because we haven’t played it with a group yet)
Dixit
Very simple rules, extraordinarily fun and interesting game. Beautifully illustrated cards. You learn how people think abstractly/creatively but you don’t have to be a creative/abstract thinker to enjoy it.
5/5
Wavelength
Really fun to play with a group of friends who know how each other thinks.
5/5
Pandemic Legacy: Season 1
12 months (with one re-do each if you lose) to beat the pandemic of zombies. You’d think that because of Covid this game wouldn’t be as fun, but it is.
5/5
Monikers
Really fun with a group of friends. Simple rules, active game, fast paced but not frantic. Lots of laughter.
5/5
Farkel
Some people get very competitive with this game. Tricia and I beat those people.
4/5
Spyfall
Fun and simple game to play with a medium size group. It’s certainly not required, but character voices make it particularly funny (though I don’t typically do so).
4/5
Telestrations
Fun to play with kids (not the after dark version), but also HILARIOUS to play with friends and family. Like telephone but with drawing. If you suck at drawing, it’s even more fun.
4.5/5
Superfight
Pretty hilarious imaginary fights between outrageous battlers. Fun with a group of close friends.
4/5
Pictionary
The classic. Can’t beat it.
